dances the voodoo from the bones she has blessed
cursed be the man who has darkened her grave
cursed be the one who made her his slave
and the Spanish Moss is dripping from the oaken tree boughs
she's dancing in the veil between here and now

Out across the bayou a steamy light glows
you can feel that swampy rhythm as is powers thru your soul
and she knows he will follow to seek and to find
that toffee skinned woman who's playing with his mind
and there's secrets in the hot night air sending shivers down his spine
and knowing in the watchful gaze of dark eyes so fine

She calls upon the Bokor to paint his skin black
he's lost in hoodoo coma and he's never coming back
invoking down the Loa see the flames ignite
